Many types of bonsai books exist. They can vary from textbooks explaining how to take care of your bonsai, including horticultural and artistic aspects, to books literally showing their beauty on photos. Books showing top class bonsai are often published as a result of large well-known bonsai exhibitions. Less known are books published of famous private bonsai collections. They are produced in very limited numbers. As a consequence those books are difficult to obtain and often become collectors items (and costly).
