To give a bonsai tree a beautiful shape from rough material, you need wire and specific tools. Bending tools, such as bending clamps, branch benders and bending jacks, are needed to set and keep branches in the correct position. These make it possible to have heavy, thick branches that you can hardly put in the right place manually, still move in the desired direction. For example, by applying a bending clamp and tightening the adjusting screw daily, the branch is slowly bent into the correct position.
